Conclusion :
My problem is that soda is bad for you? I decided on this project because I wanted to figure out why soda is bad.
I started asking questions and found out that soda has a lot of sugar in it.
My hypothesis was that the paper will dissolve. I thought this would be true because once paper touches a liquid, it softens up and it is usually easy to rip apart. I tested my hypothesis by touching and examining my project.
While doing my science project, I observed that the paper in the Sprite was growing mold. Also nothing happened to the paper clip and the plastic. Another interesting thing that happened was that there was no change in the Sierra Mist.
My data did not support my hypothesis. The most important thing I learned is that Sprite soda is worse than Sierra Mist. My result shows that paper, plastic, nor paper clip dissolve in Sprite or Sierra Mist. This information can be used by all soda consumers especially parents who watch their weight and that of their children. If I were to do this project over again, I would change my hypothesis and the type of soda I used.
